gucci is gearing up to unveil a range of home decor items.The Italian brand’s creative director Alessandro Michele has long had a penchant for flora and fauna, as evident in his couture and ready-to-wear fashion. Now, the company is about to extend garden themes into its first homeware line which, launches in September.
Aficionados will be able to buy wallpaper, cushions, chairs and porcelain accessories from the brand’s Gucci Decor collection. The ceramics will be produced by Richard Ginori, the iconic Florentine company founded in 1735, rescued from bankruptcy by bosses at the fashion house four years ago. Standout pieces include a bright floral jacquard vanity seat with silver detailing, wooden high-backed chairs with lacquered, frames and padded seats covered in various animal motifs. There is also a line of eye-catching cushions trimmed in tassels and clad in velvets and jacquards.
