Madhuri AKA Nene thinks Priyanka should play her biographical series

ABC is working on the series based on Madhuri's life post moving to America, which is being produced by Chopra


Madhuri Dixit is looking forward to the ABC series based on her life.

According to Times of India, the Bollywood diva was actually surprised when she heard about the development of the program.

Madhuri had tweeted about the the series, which is based on her bi-cultural family settled in the suburbs of America.

In a statement, she said, “I was pleasantly surprised in the summer of 2016 when Sri (Rao) said he wanted to do a series inspired by my life in America.”

Sri Rao, writer of series like General Hospital: Night Shift and What Goes On, will be writing the pilot and producing the show.

Madhuri added, “As Ram and I chatted with Sri, the story evolved and Mark Gordon Productions came on board, wanting to produce it.”

The Aaja Nachle actor is excited to have Priyanka Chopra take part in the yet to be titled series.

“Bringing on Priyanka was perfect in that she had experience with the landscape,” said Madhuri.

So far, Priyanka is on board as an executive producer but we wonder if the Quantico actor will be taking on the lead role herself.

Priyanka is currently working on two Hollywood movies A Kid Like Jakewhich will release later this year and Isn’t It Romantic? with Liam Helmsworth.
